The Balint Consultancy is pleased to announce that Professor Brett Kahr has recently received a further visiting professorship.
In January, 2020, he became Visiting Professor of Psychoanalysis and Mental Health at the Regent’s School of Psychotherapy and Psychology, at Regent’s University London, the largest training programme in psychotherapy in the United Kingdom and the first to offer both a master’s degree and a doctoral degree in psychotherapy.
Kahr had the privilege of teaching at Regent’s College (now Regent’s University London) back in the 1990s and he has maintained a great fondness for the institution and hopes to make a contribution to the ongoing work of the department.
He remains Visiting Professor in the Department of Humanities and Law in the Faculty of Media and Communication at Bournemouth University, in recognition of his contributions to media psychology, and has the privilege of working alongside distinguished colleagues Professor Barry Richards and Professor Candida Yates, two of our nation’s leaders in psychoanalytical scholarship.
